Minneapolis Airport
Lightning storm.
Spent 4hours forecasting the severe weather just for fun this morning and
realized it was going to be a big day in Minnesota. Worse thing was
though, I had to work 3pm-11pm. Sucked to not be out there chasing today,
but got a little treat in the end. At 10pm things really started to pick
up with towering cumulus to the SE of the airport. Eventually this became
a storm and I reported a new towering cumulus to the S, then this became a
storm. Eventually got dark and a line kept redeveloping just south of the
Twin Cities. The lightning was nonstop and pretty amazing for the
intensity of it. On that note I should mention I did not see one cloud to
ground bolt the whole time.
Enjoy!
